Apply for a driving
license through the Parivahan Sewa portal:

- Open your browser and visit the official Parivahan Sewa Portal(https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/)

Step 2: Select Your State
- On the homepage, click on the "Online Services" tab.
- Select "Driving License Related Services" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose your state from the list to proceed.

Step 3: Choose the License Service
- On the state-specific page, look for the option to apply for a new driving license under "Driving License Services".
- If applying for the first time, select “New Driving License”.
Step 4: Complete the Learner’s License Process (if required)
- If you don’t have a learner’s license, apply for it first. This is mandatory for new applicants.
- Pass the learner’s license test. After receiving the learner's license, wait for the mandatory period (30 days) before applying for a permanent driving license.

Step 5: Fill the Driving License Application
- Click on the option to apply for a Driving License (DL).
- Fill out the application form with your personal details, address, and other required information.
- Upload the necessary documents (e.g., age proof, address proof, learner’s license, etc.).
- Upload your passport-size photograph and signature, if applicable.
Step 6: Schedule a Test Appointment
- Choose a suitable date and time for your driving test at the nearest Regional Transport Office (RTO).
- Confirm your appointment.
Step 7: Pay the Application Fee
- Pay the applicable fees online using the payment options provided (credit/debit card, net banking, etc.).
- Save the payment receipt for future reference.
Step 8: Attend the Driving Test
- Visit the selected RTO on the scheduled date and time.
- Bring your original documents and learner’s license.
- Take the driving test under the supervision of the RTO officer.
Step 9: Receive Your Driving License
- If you pass the driving test, your application will be approved.
- The driving license will be sent to your registered address via post.

eChallan status using the Parivahan Sewa Portal
Step 1: Visit the eChallan Portal
- Open your browser and visit the official Parivahan eChallan website.

Step 2: Navigate to e-Challan Services
- On the homepage, scroll down to the section labeled “Online Services”.
- Click on “Check Challan Status” under e-Challan services.

Step 3: Enter Required Details

You will be redirected to the eChallan – Digital Traffic/Transport Enforcement Solution page.

Enter one of the following details to check your e-Challan:
- Challan Number (if you have it)
- Vehicle Number
- Driving License Number (DL Number)
- Input the Captcha Code as displayed on the screen.
Step 4: View Challan Details
- Click on the “Get Details” button.
- The portal will display
any outstanding or paid challans associated with the entered
information, including:
- Date and time of the offense
- Challan amount
- Violation details
- Payment status
Step 5: Pay the e-Challan (if applicable)
- If there is an outstanding challan, you can pay directly via the portal by selecting the “Pay Now” option.
- Complete the payment using the available online methods such as debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Step 6: Save the Receipt
- After payment, download or take a screenshot of the payment receipt for future reference.

- Make sure the details you enter are accurate.
- For queries or disputes regarding challans, contact the issuing authority (local traffic police or RTO).
Vehicle registration details using the Parivahan Sewa portal
Step 1: Visit the Official Parivahan Website
- Open your browser and go to the Parivahan Sewa Portal at https://parivahan.gov.in/.
Step 2: Navigate to Vehicle Registration Services
- On the homepage, locate the section labeled “Online Services”.
- Click on “Know Your Vehicle Details” or “Vehicle Registration Details”.
Step 3: Enter the Vehicle Registration Number
- Enter the Registration Number of the vehicle (e.g., MH01AB1234).
- Input the Captcha Code shown on the screen to verify.

Step 4: View Vehicle Details
- Click on the “Search Vehicle” or “Get Details” button.
- The system will display
the following details about the vehicle:
- Owner's name
- Vehicle class (e.g., car, bike, truck)
- Registration date
- Fuel type
- Insurance status
- Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate validity
- Fitness certificate details
- Registration validity
- RTO office details
Step 5: Download or Save the Information
- If needed, take a screenshot or save the details for future reference.

Important Notes
- Ensure that the registration number you enter is accurate.
- The portal may not display sensitive or private details for security reasons.
- For more detailed information, you may need to visit the respective RTO or contact the vehicle owner (if applicable).
Apply for a fancy vehicle registration number through the Parivahan Sewa Portal
Step 1: Visit the Parivahan Sewa Portal
- Open your browser and go to the official Parivahan Sewa Portal: https://parivahan.gov.in/.
Step 2: Navigate to Fancy Number Services
- On the homepage, click on “Online Services”.
- From the dropdown menu, select “Fancy Number Booking” or directly visit the Fancy Number Auction Service page.

Step 3: Create an Account
- If you are a
first-time user, register yourself on the portal by
providing your:
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- Personal details (name, address, etc.)
- Log in using your credentials.

Step 4: Select Your State and RTO
- Choose your State and Regional Transport Office (RTO) where the registration will take place.
Step 5: Search for Fancy Numbers
- Browse the available fancy numbers for your chosen RTO.
- The portal will display fancy numbers along with their reserve prices or availability status.
Step 6: Apply for Your Desired Number
- Select the fancy number you wish to book.
- Fill out the application
form with the following details:
- Vehicle details (model, chassis number, etc.)
- Owner details
- Pay the reserve fee or application charges online through net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.
Step 7: Participate in the Auction (If Required)
- If your chosen number is
subject to an auction:
- Place your bid for the number during the auction period.
- Monitor the auction status for updates.
- The highest bidder will be allotted the fancy number.
Step 8: Confirmation and Allotment
- If you win the auction or complete the booking, you will receive a confirmation.
- The fancy number will be reserved for your vehicle.
- Take a printout of the allotment receipt for RTO verification.
Important Notes
- Fees: Fancy number prices vary based on demand and location. Be prepared for higher fees for premium numbers.
- Timeframe: Auctions typically last for a fixed period. Keep track of deadlines.
- Eligibility: Ensure your vehicle purchase and documents are complete before applying.
National Permit for a commercial vehicle through the Parivahan Sewa Portal
Step 1: Visit the Parivahan Sewa Portal
- Open your browser and go to the Parivahan Seva Portal at https://parivahan.gov.in/.
Step 2: Navigate to Permit Services
- On the homepage, click on “Online Services”.
- Select “National Permit Services” from the dropdown menu or visit the Permit Issuance section.

Step 3: Log in to the Portal
- Log in with your credentials if you already have an account.
- If you’re a first-time
user, register on the portal using your:
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- Business or personal details
Step 4: Select Apply for National Permit
- Once logged in, choose the option to apply for a National Permit.
- Select your vehicle type and input the vehicle registration number.
Step 5: Fill in the Application Form
- Provide all required
details, including:
- Owner details
- Vehicle details (e.g., registration number, chassis number, engine number)
- Goods type and capacity of the vehicle
- Select the states or regions where you require the permit.

Step 6: Upload Required Documents
- Prepare and upload
scanned copies of the following documents:
- Vehicle registration certificate (RC)
- Insurance certificate
- Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
- Fitness certificate of the vehicle
- Proof of tax payment
- ID proof of the owner (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN)
Step 7: Pay the Fee
- Make the payment for the National Permit fee and any applicable state-wise taxes.
- Payment can be done via net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.
Step 8: Download the National Permit
- Once the payment is confirmed and the application is processed, the system will generate your National Permit.
- Download the permit and take a printout for your vehicle.

Step 1: Visit the Parivahan Sewa Portal
- Open your browser and go to the official Parivahan Sea Portal: https://parivahan.gov.in/.
Step 2: Navigate to Driving License Services
- On the homepage, click on “Online Services”.
- Select “Driving License Related Services” from the dropdown menu.
- Choose your state from the list to proceed to the state-specific portal.
Step 3: Log in to the Portal
- If required, log in using your credentials or create a new account by registering with your mobile number and email ID.

Step 4: Select Online Test Appointment
- On the state-specific portal, locate the option for “Learner’s License Test” or “Driving Test Slot Booking” under the driving license services menu.
- If applying for a learner’s license, choose the “LL Test” option. For a permanent license, select “DL Test”.
Step 5: Fill in the Required Details
- Enter your application number and date of birth.
- Verify your details and proceed to book a test appointment.
Step 6: Choose Date and Time for the Test
- Select an available test center near your location.
- Pick a convenient date and time slot for the online test or driving test.
Step 7: Pay the Test Fee
- Complete the payment process for the test using net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.
- Save the payment receipt for future reference.
Step 8: Confirm and Download Appointment Slip
- After successful booking, download or print the appointment slip.
- Keep it handy as you will need it on the test day.
